Johannes Gutenberg University (JGU) of Mainz, previously the University of Mainz, is a public university in Germany. Home to over 31,000 students from over 120 countries, the JGU is known for its diverse culture. University of Mainz Campus and Accomodation

Due to its considerable size, the JGU campus houses almost all of the research centers near city center, as well as four associated cutting-edge research institutes- Institute for Molecular Biology (IMB), Helmholtz Institute Mainz (HIM), Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P), and Max Planck Institute for Chemistry (MPI-C).

In addition to the ten departments, there are two independent art schools: Academy for Music and Academy for Art.
