- The Mechanical Engineering course provides for a comprehensive engineering education covering design, engineering mathematics and its application, the core concepts of mechanics, thermodynamics, structural dynamics, materials and the behaviour of fluids.
- As students progress through the course, they will also cover the principles of control systems, advanced materials and manufacturing processes including Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM)/ 3D-printing of plastics and metals.
- Students will use computer-aided modeling, design and analysis software to validate product designs. Analyzing the performance of materials and structures under in-service conditions through the use of finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics is one highlight of the course.
- Accordingly, students will have the ability to use industry level FEA packages to analyse the performance of various engineering components.
