Dislikes
- The administrative processes can be slow and cumbersome,with excessive paperwork,and lack of transparency.This sometimes hinders student initiatives,innovation,and progress,causing frustration and demotivation among students and faculty alike.
- While the campus is well-maintained, some facilities like labs, libraries, and sports infrastructure require modernization and expansion to accommodate the growing student body. Limited access to cutting-edge technology, and software.
- The course curriculum, although rigorous, needs updating to reflect industry trends, emerging technologies, and research-oriented learning. Some subjects feel redundant, and more emphasis on practical applications, and case studies.
Remarks :
I applied to 5 colleges, including CMR College of Engineering & Technology (CMRCET), and received confirmed admissions from 3 colleges: CMRCET, VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET), and Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT). I chose CMRCET over the others due to its: - Strong industry connections and placement record - Experienced faculty and research-oriented learning - Modern infrastructure and facilities - Location and accessibility I didn't make it to BITS Pilani and IIIT Hyderabad due to: - High competition and low admission rates - Missing the cutoff scores by a small margin The admission process at CMRCET involves: - Eligibility: 10+2 with 45% aggregate in PCM - Exams accepted: JEE Main, TS EAMCET, and COMEDK - Most preferred exam: TS EAMCET - Cutoffs: Varying cutoffs for different branches and categories - Admission experience: Smooth and transparent, with counseling and document verification
Course Curriculum Overview :
I would rate the course curriculum 7.5/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. Strengths: - Industry-aligned curriculum with practical applications - Covers foundational concepts and emerging trends - Prepares students for real-world applications and further academic pursuits Weaknesses: - Needs more emphasis on hands-on learning and project-based learning - Some courses feel outdated or redundant - Limited exposure to cutting-edge technologies and tools Suggestions for improvement: - Incorporate more practical projects and case studies - Update curriculum to reflect industry advancements - Increase focus on soft skills and interdisciplinary learning Exam frequency and timing: 2 internals and 1 semester-end exam, spaced evenly throughout the semester. Exam difficulty level: Moderate, with some challenging questions that test critical thinking and application.

Placement Details* The highest package offered is ?15 lakhs per annum by Amazon and Microsoft, while the average package is ?4-5 lakhs per annum by TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, with profiles such as Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, IT Consultant, and more, resulting in around 70-80% of eligible students getting placed. From 2 year ending the students will be eligible for campus placements. Recently CAPGEMINI company has hired more than 150 students in my college with a minimum package of 5LPA. The highest package my college student got is 48 LPA by CSE(AIML) student. And the average package of my college is 5.5LPA. The percentage of students getting placements is 78%. My plans after the degree is go to abroad for higher studies.

Many Highly rated companies visit for placements like TCS, MINICRAFT etc. It depends on Student to student how they perform in the interviews to get the job.

I have no idea abou the companies but our seniors have told us about packages the highest package is around 10lakhs and average package is around 5lakhs.There are about 10% students gets placements.
