The admission was based on the score taken by the candidate in the entrance exam that was conducted in the campus. Application form can be found in the website namely SRIHER portal and application fees and dates and such info will be seen in the portal itself while you're applying. Therr is not much preference given to reservations. Exams here are conducted once in everymonth, with two internal assessments and one end semester exam, and difficulty level normally remains moderate.
The course is well structured and is more specifically oriented and designed for research oriented students and they also give you a hands on experience on all laboratory techniques so that you get used to laboratory equipments.
Tho there are not much internship opportunities within the college, you can still get permission from your respective department and opt for internships from outside companies and institutions, a few of which you would have to pay for..
Students, from their 7th semester, become eligible to attend campus interviews and many popular companies like Apollo, Pfizer are seen to offer a decent salary package for the same. Almost all of them who attend campus selections are placed. Most student tho, like me, opt to go for higher studies in premiere institutes like Harvard, Oxford, Stanford ..or if in india itself in institutes like BITS Pilani etc..
The fee per year is around one lakh thirthy thousand which includes all expenses such as medical insurance, record books and other such miscellaneous expenses, and no the fee does not vary from year to year, it remains the same (but for culturals, it does hike, like it was 2800 last year but now its 3200 for this year)i dont have much idea about the scholarship amount and stuff as I personally didnt come through it, and in the case of fee, all are treated equal, like there is no reservation for anyone, its basically who and writes the entrance exam and the selection is based on that.
Every year cultural fests are conducted which lasts for about five to six days and are mostly held between the months of october-november. All kinds of sports and extra curricular activities are held at the college, but only before 8 am and after 4 pm. A lot of clubs are there and you get a lot of opportunities to participate in events, though getting OD is a bit of work..???? The central Harvard library is the main library and books of almost all disciplines are available here.
All faculties are impeccably talents in their majors and also are well versed in general science stuff, and you can approach them anytime for anything, and they are attentive to each student's needs and are keen enough in noticing your qualities, at an individual level. The bond you get to develop here with the faculties is beautiful!!
