I got admission through CUET Score. students have to apply on the CSAS portal of DU separately. In my case, I didn't get any reservation benefits as my score was sufficient but I have seen people getting benefits of reservations, especially Kashmiri migrants and Sc/Sts
I found course design to be very interesting. In bachelor degree they are trying to give students as much diverse knowledge as they can in the specific field. Apart from this I really liked the addition of environmental studies in curriculum as this subject is very important to all of us no matter which you are in which field
One yr fee of my course is 52,000 which is not that high as compared to btech and bsc from other colleges . But our fees is highest among all courses that DU offers. there exist some scholarship like inspire for students from economically backward sections
In our department, a lot of events happens(like hackathon)and that's very interesting because u get opportunity to build social connections with the people from different colleges .Overall in our college there is always some kind of event going on , it all depends on you how you are participating in them Usually curriculum related books are available in library. Once in a year our college celebrates khelo Hansraj in which each department is required to participate in various sports .
Girls hostels are not that good because there is huge competition for seats . There are only 30 seats for first and second year(third year girls don't get hostel). But the plus point is that the food quality and cleanliness of hostel is very good . In my first year the fees was 1,44,000 and next year it reached something near to 1,50,000. So it is bit costly
Most of the faculty is very good Their behaviour is also very friendly to the students. Major portion of faculty have their phds in their specific field. Apart from all this you can ask your doubts anytime they will surely try to solve it
I chose botany, simply because I wanted to go in research sector or science. The faculty is also great, our teachers are very helpful and considering and our department has 18 assigned teachers for our course, and all the faculty members are PHD holders in their respective courses, and they teaching done used modern methods, such as via smart boards, Projectors, using PPTs, PDFs etc. And regular assessment and exams are also conducted without any slack
From 3rd sem students become eligible to placements. There are a lot of companies that visits our college and made a great offer. Well package depends on course as well like BMS and BCOM students get upto 8 lakh as well the highest package and average i would say is 3.5-4 lakhs per annum
I would rate the B.Sc. Computer Science (Honours) course curriculum at Dyal Singh College as highly relevant and comprehensive. **Relevance:** The curriculum is designed to align with current industry standards and technological advancements. It covers essential areas of computer science, including programming, algorithms, data structures, and database management, which are foundational for any computer science professional. Additionally, the inclusion of subjects like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and web development ensures that students are exposed to cutting-edge technologies and trends that are highly sought after in the job market. This relevance is crucial for preparing students to enter the workforce with skills that are in demand. **Comprehensiveness:** The curriculum is thorough in its coverage of both theoretical and practical aspects of computer science.
I choose analytical chemistry as it's provide you to learn many new things in chemistry as my fav subject was chemistry from school time so that's motivate me to go with this cource There can be little bit improvement that can be done like using of smart boards to display 3d structures can help students to learn more easily
