Candidates who aspire to prepare for IIT JAM 2020 know that attempting mock tests prior to the real exam is imperative to get familiar with the pattern as well as planning a time pattern while taking the exam. Candidates should go through the points given below before commencing the mock tests:

• Just like the actual IIT JAM 2020, the mock test will also be 180 minutes long.
• Candidates have to visit the official website – jam.iitk.ac.in.
• On the home page, they will have to click on the “Mock Tests Links” under the ‘Important Updates’ section.
• Now, click on the subject of which you want to attempt the mock test. 
• IIT JAM Mock Test page will open on the screen.
• Click on Sign in (Don,t enter your ID or Password).
• A page containing general instructions to take the mock tests will appear on the screen.
• Read the instructions carefully, accept the declaration and click on “I am ready to take the test”.
• The mock tests will be conducted online, but the candidates do not have to log in or enter any password, as those features are disabled in the JAM Mock Test.
• The clock will start as soon as the candidates agree to the JAM Mock Test’s terms and conditions.
• Since the IIT JAM Mock Test is only for practice and preparation, there will be no score calculation.
• The JAM Mock Test will be same as the actual JAM exam in all other respects.
• Some useful data will be given for some of the calculations needed for some of the questions. Candidates are advised to refer to them while answering the JAM Mock Test.
• A provision of an online calculator will be given on the right side on the top of the screen. Candidates can use it for all the calculations. However, candidates should remember that this is only a provision for the JAM Mock Test, and no calculators will be allowed in the actual JAM exam.
