The complete schedule of UPTAC counselling 2025 will be provided online on the official website, uptac.admissions.nic.in by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). UPTAC 2025 counselling dates will include a detailed schedule for UPTAC 2025 registration, document verification, choice filling, and seat allotment. The UPTAC registration 2025 is expected to start in June 2025. UPTAC 2025 will have five counselling rounds and one special round.
- As per the UPTAC 2024, a total of 87,389 seats were available across all colleges, courses, categories and quotas.

In order to register for UPTAC Counselling 2025, candidates have to register using their BTech application number 2025, date of birth, name, mother's name, and gender. As per the UPTAC 2025 Eligibility Criteria to appear in the counselling rounds, candidates have to score at least 45% marks in class 10+2 from the general categories, and 40% marks for the reserved category. The candidates have to physically report after the end of the online UPTAC counselling 2025 to complete the admission process.
What is UPTAC Counselling?
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow conducts the counselling process on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Technical Education Department. Students with valid ranks of Entrance Examination listed in below table are allowed to appear in UPTAC Counselling only after satisfying the eligibility conditions specified for the program.

Does UPTAC accept JEE Mains?
Yes, UPTAC accepts JEE mains and other competitive examination scores. BTech admissions in Uttar Pradesh are based solely on JEE Main scores. Candidates are allocated seats through the UPTAC counselling process, which is conducted at the state level.
Are AKTU and UPTAC the same?
Yes, AKTU and UPTAC are almost same. Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) (formerly UPTU) was established in May 2000 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The university had a mission to acclimate and cultivate the excellence in technical education and research by integrating human values and ethics among students. On the other hand UPTAC is the counselling process held on state level.

UPTAC Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria
To complete UPTAC counselling 2025 registration, candidates need to meet some eligibility criteria set by the authorities.
- Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam from any institution in UP or the parents should have the domicile of Uttar Pradesh.
- If the candidates have not passed the qualifying exam from an institution in UP, then they will be required to produce their parent's domicile certificate.
- There is no upper age limit.
- Candidates should have a valid JEE Main 2025 score.
Note that, the admission to the following courses is based on CUET UG scores:

UPTAC Counselling 2025 Admission Process
After going through the details related to the courses and their eligibility criteria required for the UPTAC Counselling 2025, next step is required to be aware of the UPTAC Counselling 2025 Admission Process and its steps:
- Candidates must register themselves through the official website- uptac.admissions.nic.in by using their login credentials i.e application number and password. They need to conclude the process with submission of registration fees.

- In the next stage, candidates need to upload all the required documents as per the prescribed size format. Once it is done, an SMS/Email will be sent to the registered number and id of the candidate. These documents will be verified by the Central Document Verification Team (this will be done at every round for applied candidates).
- After verification, candidates can participate in Choice Filling Round and they can fill their choices based on their eligibility and marks.
- Next, the admission authority will allocate seats on the basis of the filled choices of institution, courses, merit list and the availability of seats through the UPTAC 2025 Seat Allotment Process. Candidates can check their seat allotment result online on their dashboard using their login credentials.
- After getting an allotment to the institution and their respective course, candidates need to participate in ‘Online Willingness’ where they will have three options to confirm their seat allotment- Freeze, Float and Withdrawal.
- Freeze: Participants will have the option to freeze their designated seats if they are unsatisfied with the decision.
- Float: Candidates can hold on to the allocated seat and ask for an upgrade to the next level in this case.
- Withdrawal: If the candidates are not satisfied with the allocated seat then they can leave the allocated seat and can choose not to participate in the further UPCAT Counselling 2024 process.
